Located in the city centre, this is your go to if you’re in search of friendly service and quality food for a good price. Their menu is huge, so you mind find it hard to choose what to go for. From the starters the Fish Cakes and the Fried Butterfly Shrimps are highly recommended, followed by stir fried Pork, Chicken or Beef with vegetables in oyster sauce.  The Grilled duck filet with bamboo, long beans in red curry sauce with coconut milk and Thai sweet basil leaves is another favorite. Bird has been around in Amsterdam since 1998 and they are still known as one of the best Thai restaurants in town. Located on the Zeedijk in the Red Light District, this is the perfect spot to go to after a day of sightseeing or before heading into Amsterdam’s nightlife. From the interior to the chefs and staff, it’s all authentic. Their menu offers dishes from different culinary regions in Thailand, from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and Phuket. You might have to wait in line before you’re able to get a table here, but the food is worth the short wait! Good to know: they also have a Thai snackbar across the street if you’re in for a quick bite.

Take Thai isn’t your average Thai Restaurant. When walking in you’ll be surprised by their clean white interior and perfectly set tables. Expect authentic dishes in a contemporary atmosphere. The spicy prawn soup is one not to miss out on, as well as the dim sum with crab, prawns and chicken as a starter. Their banana fritters in a honey custard sauce dessert is finger licking good!
