In Amsterdam West you’ll also find “Het Ship”, one of the most beautiful examples of the well-known architectural movement De Amsterdamse School. This impressive museum is located in the famous workers palace of architect Michel de Klerk. The extensive collection exhibits pictures, drawings, furniture and designs of household goods of the biggest representatives of the 100-year old group. Another prominent feature of Amsterdam West is the Westergasfabriek. It is one of the city’s most thriving creative hotspots, and there is always something going on.
