Amsterdam Light Festival

The Amsterdam Light Festival is back in town! Explore the city in a brand new way with a special light festival walk or canal tour and see all the beautiful light sculptures created by talented artists from all over the world. The organization of the Amsterdam Light Festival introduces a new theme every edition. This year they picked Existential, a theme that should encourage people to think about what unites people and how light plays a part in that.

The new solo exhibition of the Brazilian artist Cranio draws inspiration from the world of superheroes and incorporates them into his own Amazonian fantasy world. Of course the real hero of the story will be Cranio’s well known and much loved Blue Indians characters.

Hortus by Light

The city is getting darker, but that doesn’t mean that there is no light to be seen. De Hortus, the botanical gardens of Amsterdam, invite you for unique Hortus by Light evenings. During the Hortus by Light you are able to enjoy the magically lit garden, a winter terrace with campfire and glüwein. As soon as the night falls, a special illuminated path will show you the way into the gardens. Go and explore on your own or book a tour to learn more about the botanical garden by night.
