On the 20th of April a new exposition will open in FOAM Photography Museum. Gold and Silver is focused around the gold rush in the United States. The exposition shows a contemporary view on this phenomenon from the 19th century in which the entire country was looking for gold.
About the Gold and Silver exposition
In the pictures you see young men, looking a lot less fancy then the people that are usually posing for pictures from that time. The exhibition emphasizes this relationship between gold and silver, the Gold Rush and early photography. The exhibition will be opened on Thursday April 19, 2018 by Luce Lebart, director of the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada. That evening the exposition is open for the public from 17:30, from the 20th on the pictures are on display every day until the 10th of June.
