De Tulp

Lunch, dinner and dancing in this urban jungle located in the buzzing De Pijp area

Restaurant and bar De Tulp is located on Marie Heineken Square in the Pijp area. Their colorful and green interior will give you instant jungle fever. Amongst locals De Tulp is known as the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night for a drink or two. From around 11:00 p.m. the tables will be set aside to create a dance floor where you can shake the week off. Their cocktail, wine and (craft)beer selection is huge, so you might want to ask the bartender to help you out with that.

But there is more to it. Both their lunch and dinner menu are filled with tasty tropical options. By day, take place on their wide terrace. Enjoy a fresh mixed juice with one of their smoothie bowls or sandwiches. Try the Pitaya Bowl made from dragon fruit, which you don’t see on a menu very often. Tulptip: this bowl is good for your hair, skin and nails. The Spice It Up sandwich with marinated chicken, avocado, bell pepper salsa and truffle mayonnaise is another one we highly recommend.

Planking at De Tulp

The dinner menu at De Tulp is based around shared dining. They have a selection of different planks that come with three different dishes on them. Plank 6 with Shrimp Croquettes, Spicy Tenderloin and Rack of Lamb is a favorite, and don’t forget to order the Mixed Fries with truffle mayonnaise and parmesan cheese to go with that.
